During the 2020 State of the Union address, President Donald Trump spoke about the social benefits of Opportunity Zone investing. Pintar Investment Company launched a new Opportunity Zone Fund at the end of 2019 focused on building and operating single-family rental homes in growing markets. The fund takes advantage of provisions in the 2017 Tax Law that allows investors to defer and reduce capital gains taxes owed on investment gains as well as eliminate capital gains taxes by investing in qualified opportunity zones.
